The West Country is renowned for its food scene, and every year sees hundreds of entries into the Taste of the West Awards.

Our rich pastures and clear waters are an ideal landscape for growing and farming in, but it’s the combination of this, alongside the talent of dedicated growers, producers, farmers and chefs, that make the winning combination. We have plenty to be proud of, which is why we produce this ever-popular recipe book.

Now in its fourth year, A Taste of the West Country has, once again, paired award-winning chefs and producers from the Taste of the West Awards to create this locally-inspired keepsake. Each pair comes from Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset, bringing you special recipes, using the finest local produce.

Using ingredients readily available across the region, these dishes are created uniquely for this book – straight from the chef’s kitchen! You needn't be an accomplished cook to recreate them at home – all have been compiled using easy-to-follow steps, with some handy chef’s tips to help you along the way.
