A Taste of the West Country (2023)

It continues to be so important to support and celebrate the West Country’s food and drink industry in the challenging environment we all still face. This year, our latest A Taste of the West Country recipe book has been exceptionally popular, with a record number of businesses wanting to take part – a testament to how proud the industry is of its outstanding efforts and achievements.

Now, more than ever, there is a continued focus on reduced food miles, sustainability, product traceability and welfare standards for those working in the food industry and also for consumers. Many of the producers who feature in this book offer field-to-fork schemes, while the restaurants increasingly rely on their own kitchen gardens for ultra-local produce, or look to their neighbouring towns and villages to help with supply.
