Sheffield Kinship Care

Sheffield Kinship Care Support Group exists to support families who are caring for children within their wider family or friendship network. The role of the website is to reassure, explain, and make support feel accessible at what can be a difficult time.

Our focus was clarity first: helping visitors quickly understand what kinship care is, who the group is for, and how to get in touch – without feeling overwhelmed or judged.

The structure of the site is deliberately simple. Clear section headings, familiar layouts, and predictable navigation help visitors move through the content confidently. Key questions are answered in plain language, with no reliance on jargon or assumed knowledge. The site works hard to reduce uncertainty and make the next step feel safe.

Visually, the site makes confident use of colour. Bold blocks of red, mustard, navy, and green create a strong rhythm as users scroll, clearly separating sections and helping people orient themselves within the page.
